BIODEGRADABLE GEL PACKS
These gel packs are manufactured using a biodegradable polyethylene film that from a visual and performance perspective is indistinguishable from traditional polyethylene film. The only difference is the biodegradable film will degrade into water, carbon dioxide and biomass. No heavy metals or other harmful residues are left behind.
The shelf life for these gel packs is 18 months. The packs will not degrade prematurely if stored under temperatures of less than 86 degrees Fahrenheit and away from direct UV exposure. It is the combination of temperature in excess of 86 degrees Fahrenheit and UV exposure that initiates the degradation process. Temperature alone is not sufficient. Once the degradation process is started, it will continue even in a landfill.
